Dave's Swingtime Big Band --
guest vocals
Temple Israel
3183 Mecartney Road
Alameda, CA 94502

They hold a monthly Big Band Concert/ Dance in Bay Farm (out in Alameda) the last Wednesday of every month.  Their repertoire includes hits from the 30's to the 60's.  It's an 18-piece big and performing east and west coast swing, rumbas, waltzes, cha chas, tangos, night club two-step and a few other surprises! This is my first time sitting in with them (or anyone like this!) so please come out and show support for these guys -- and shake a thing or two while you're at it!  The show is open to the public.
Cost: $5 donation

Exciting fun! Am sitting in on vocals with Dave's Swingtime Big Band, subbing for the wonderfully talented Janese Powell (definitely some tough shoes to fill. Janese is awesome!).
(p.s. singing with a big band's always been a secret little mini dream of mine. Not sure what to expect, but looking forward to making it a fun time.)
